Unfortunately, the public is not invited to the annual Shot Show in Las Vegas. It is unfortunate because this show provides a glimpse of the gun future and secondly, it also includes air guns. This gun show unlike all of the others in America is restricted to gun manufacturers, distributors, and dealers. One exception also allows those like Dr. Russ, who provide gun videos, to also attend. Preparing You for Air Gun Competition
How do u get that 4 in 1 scope to not kick off the back of a break barrel air gun, bc I have the same one and it recoils off the end
Natedogg ... thanks for writing. I can only guess that if that scope is recoiling off or the back end ... that somewhere ... you have matched up the wrong picatinny rail with the wrong scope rings, because when tight ... that scope doesn't move. Dr. Russ
Another thing I’m looking for and I’ve not been able to find a lot of info on, but I’m looking for a lead cast die for the .177 so I can make my own pellets. The only companies that I came across in my research was Thor and Lee Precision Dies. I found a gentleman on RUclips from South Africa that shows you what you’ll need to make your own pellets and shows you how to make them. But this die cast mold and a lead cutter tool isn’t easy to find. Would you have the info or contacts for me to acquire these items?
Sorry ... Charlie ... I have no info on dies for 177. Keep in mind that even if you did ... you might learn that that particular pellet doesn't shoot accurately in your air gun ... I would try and get accuracy by trying the many 177 pellets that are currently available.... try Pyramid Air... Dr. Russ
The free suppressor is with the purchase of a pcp rifle or pistol to receive it free is that how I understand that Dr. Russ ?
Charlie ... my understanding is that the free suppressor only comes with the pistol ... but try and see if you can get it with a rifle.... you never know until you try it... Dr. Russ
Slick marketing & businessman you are. Even if you store your guns upside down, as you walk through the woods the filings as you called them will fall down. I don't know anyone that holds their rifle in a downward position while walking. The last gun I would be reaching for would not be a pellet pistol. Even with real firearms barrels they're not machined perfectly smooth, you can see the same imperfections. The rifling is done by pulling or pushing a cutter through the barrel. There are 3 ways to cut in a rifle twist: Cut, Button, or Cold Hammer Forged. You will see imperfections. I strongly recommend not using a cone grinding stone on the crown of your barrel. It's far to abrasive. You're getting into the lapping/honing area. You can shoot a thousand felt pellets down a barrel or pull patches through & it still will never get it clean. Those 3-5k gun/barrels you talk of are all made with really good steel & great care has been taken to make those barrels but under magnification you'll still see imperfections. I encourage all to look up how barrels are made & rifle twist rates are done. You will never ruin a steel barrel with a bronze or brass brush. Blue Loctite can be removed & even the red can be removed. I've never met a solider that spoke of how many people they killed. In fact they avoid talking about it & what they've seen. When you are talking about .22 cal & you say 22.1 or 22.2, that .1 = 0.003 that is 0.002 less than a human hair. You are not going to see that in accuracy. If you shoot lead through a powder firearm or pellet gun over time you will see your rifling fill up & soon have a smooth bore like a shotgun. All you need to clean your pellet gun is Ballistol & 100% Silicone that is non petroleum based for the inside. For the outside of your pellet gun, gun slick or any other firearm oil is fine to use.
The Cleaner ... thanks for your advice. I cannot agree with everything you said ... but thanks for bringing it to the table.... Dr. Russ
That is a beautiful place were you live at.
I really do enjoy your videos so much.
Again, thanks for the compliment... Dr. Russ
How do you like the gun. The umarex broadnex gun. Have you had any problems with the gun. I'm thinking about getting that gun tomorrow. But I have had 2 of the umarex broadnex and the c 02 keep leaking the c 02 out. I have one now and I can't keep the c 02 from leaking. I can't even shoot the gun. So what do you think is causing this problem with the c 02
That is a touch question ... consider putting oil on the puncture valve ... also a rubber ring that helps seal it ... and thirdly, try different amounts of twists on the tightening screw. Keep in touch ... Dr. Russ
Great life advice. I like to say, always be curious. Being curious about everything has served me well. As well as anyone else who is, always curious. I would like to think. After seeing that rifle, I became very curious about it. Back to spending money, yeah. Money well spent on a passion; I believe. Thank you for the wholesome content. The love for what you do flows from it. I hope it keeps you busy, challenged, and brings you as much joy as it brings your subscribers. Keep shooting.
Good to hear from you jwhitaker ... and thanks for the compliments... Dr. russ
Thanks for another great video Dr Russ & crew. Was wondering if you’d had any problems with larger animals being poisoned from all the rat/mouse/squirrel poison you put out? Here in our suburb we just lost a bald eagle due to secondary poisoning from eating tainted wildlife. Sad to see it’s mate alone now.. 💚☮️🇺🇸
Akira ... you bring up a good point. We don't have any bald eagles in this area ... but there are some golden eagles nesting about 300 miles north. We are concerned about any poisons ... especially with 15 grandkids continually visiting. All of my poisons are inside in the attic or garage ... or right along the brick line foundation of our home. Typically, we don't see any Hawks, owls or protected birds that close to our home. Most birds go to our bird feeders which are away from the house ... and the poison. Dr. Russ
Thanks Drs! Great info once again 👍💚🇺🇸
Akira ... thanks for the compliment ... we hope our videos help those pursuing this passion. Dr. Russ
Watched your video and got myself one wish you didn't help gamo rip people off I got the177 and couldn't kill the chipmunks eating my wires in the camper I was forced to live in because my house burned down so my dumb ass got the22 it wasn't the gun it just can't hit anything wish someone would tell the truth
It makes a lot of sense
this barrel shroud acts as moderator... remove it and shoot its way louder
Glad you used the Titan. I have a long CVLife scope on it. For the price it is my favorite shooter of the small assortment of peller rifles I have. Yes I also clean and lube my crossman hollow points. I do find my accuracy greatly improved since doing it. Thaks Dr. Russ, I always get a few more details from your videos.
Is any of then good for raccoons
You didn't cover the single shot which I have and is very popular
What pellets works best in gamo swan whisper 10x?
Hey doc, that regulator might be set so high that it needs to fill for a bit before it’s going to hold air . I had that same problem on an 30 cal AEA rifle. The regulator is going to “dump” when the pressure gets down to low. Since it’s empty it is going to hiss until it has enough press to seal. Mine hissed for a while then slowly sealed and actually hold pressure superbly.
All I need to know is where i can get 1 air gun THE AEA HARPOON shorty. OH boy!
Uzo ... my friend Zach use to be a dealer for AEA ... but no longer is. They have several thru out the US, but I dont have those addresses... Dr. Russ
I was hoping to possibly get a doberman as a service dog for my MS. Sometimes i need help with mobility because i have balance issues.
As always accurate sir 😂😂😂😂😂
Dr. Russ, een vraagje vanuit Belgie: kan U me raad geven hoe ik een huma regulator op maximun power kan inbouwen in mijn pcp pistool diana bandit .177. Op voorbaat dank. Gtjs.
It is good to hear from you user from Belgium. Regulators are basically designed to provide a range of consistent air power, that tightens groups up for accuracy. Their maximum setting for power is actually lower than what the air gun can be tuned to shoot. Consider setting the maximum power by adjusting the long pin and spring that are typically adjustable by a screw at the rear of the gun. I don't have a Diana Bandit 177 ... so I cannot help you further.
Love these series keep this up i have heard these jokes from your videos sir but its a nice thing to see them on YT shorts greetings from greece wish you the best
Theses jokes are older than I am and I'm in my late 60's
I've been watching your videos for a couple week now and learned a lot from you. Shooting air guns since a kid, I'm an active 78 and still ride my horses. Thank you for sharing your military experiences. My brother was in a PC group and hit a mine as they were going to supply fire to a group ambushed and under heavy fire. He was already off of active duty and waiting to be air lifted out when they called for help and he and his men volunteered to help those under fire when he hit the mine. He suffered spinal injuries and was found up in the tree canopy and removed by copter. He passed away a few years back do to complications from his combat wounds. I appreciate your service!! Thanks for sharing. His name was Bill Kitrell in case you ran on to him.
Thomas ... thanks for sharing your brother's story .... I know so many that have passed away... I am 78 too ... thanks for writing ... Dr. Russ
Where is my inheritance
❤ Happy to subscribe, Doctor.
😂
Lol a very accurate observation and it holds true here in Southern Missouri also ,alot of zombies around nowadays lol. Extremely entertaining buddy thank you
ref sound i air rifles, you missed the sound the spring or the ram makes hitting the stop internally, pcp air rifles dont have that problem, the loudest sound is usually the internals, esp in springers, and it isnt a fluted barrel, it has a shroud over the barrel and it is fluted (moulded id guess )
Men being proud of wife and children. Women shaming men for loving them. Hilarious (sarcasm)

Love you 😂😂😂😂
Where can I get evanix at?
Evanix is sold thru about a dozen dealers across America .... one place is the one stated on our video ... Patriot Arms ... but I don't have a list of the others.... Dr. Russ
Why did you choose the Fusion over the Magnum? Noise?
Have you heard of Cometa air rifles they have a lifetime warranty They are releasing a new Laminate fusion break barrel im thinking about
This made me chuckle 😂 thank you!
*snort* just nick her ear @17:46. Boy did that age like fine wine.

Hello, Dr. Russ.. This is Kleber (Brazilian Navy officer - retired).. It’s always a pleasure to watch your videos!! They are fun and very informative.. Your love for air guns is contagious!! Please keep up the good job!! Greetings from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil!!$
Officer Kleber ... it is always good to hear from you ... and one day I would like to go to Rio de Janeiro, just to see that massive cross over looking the city ... and of course to visit you too. Thanks for the compliment...Su Hermano ... Dr. Russ
Remind me ... was Brazil the country that speaks Portuguese instead of Spanish...?
@@russjones6497: 07-29-2024: That is correct.
That FX is super nice Now I have your number 😂
Chris ... good to hear from you ... please stay in touch ... Dr. Russ
Thanks for explaining this in a clear way. Subbed
Enjoyed! looks like you take your hobby VERY seriously. Bought the Weihrach 97 to prevent me from going down the rabbit hole with PCP’s but would sure like a M3.🇺🇸Binh Thuy 71~72.
Michael ... it is good to hear from you .... and your Welhrach is a very accurate air gun .... Buy your next air gun based on your exact needs over the Welhrach.... Dr. Russ
I only like break barrels because you can diesel them if you need more power, for bigger game or more fpe at long distance, I get good accuracy even when dieseling, thr groups are a little more spread and a few flyers, but these things are flying at m16 speeds with some Vaseline, and are shooting a little high at 75 yrs, so these things will streach out to 150 yrs, hitting a gallon jug, with very little drop, i have one gun strictly for dieseling, but you gotta just use open sight, (dieseling increases the chances of breaking your scope, this gun been through 5, but i am thinkinga cross bow scope will hold up)I named it the baby Pitt bull.
His Appointed Times ... it is good to hear from you .... M 16 speeds can be between 2500 and 3000 fps ... and few air guns let alone powder guns can hit that speed. I am glad that you enjoy your break barrel. Understand that consistency with diesel rounds would require consistent vaseline.... and shooting targets is different than shooting critters. The last thing you want to do is wound a critter that will live another day without a leg ... etc... Dr Russ
How come I can't find a review on the speed fire magnum 1250, it's probably the most powerful 22 multi shot they are saying 28fpe, and they are more honest than Gamo.
Artemis gr1600 488m/s at 4.5mm at 5.5mm 380m/s doesn't have a mag but it's accurate second in terms of power comes gamo magnum igt not the multi shot version
His Appointed Times .... I too wish that Gamo would be a little more honest when it comes to velocity. I have to say that Hatsans Speed Fire is more accurate. I focus on accuracy and energy versus velocity .... Dr. Russ
Thank you for your service and thank you for staying clean of free stuff. I picked up a Blitz in the Dirty .30 cal , leaked really really bad filling it with a scuba tank, my FIX was dry firing on semi and had to probably about 8-10 times before it totally sealed up.. Hope this advice helps someone with their addiction.Ohhhh had the same problem with a Umerex Hammer as well.
